As of today, March 20, 2020, we have received more important tax news updates, as follows:

  • This morning, the IRS did extend the filing extension date, from April 15th to July 15th.
  • Repeat: the deadline for filing your federal tax return for 2019 is now July 15, 2020.
  • As of now, the California extended deadline is June 15, however that may change to match the federal extension.
  • Meanwhile, California Governor Newsom and LA City Mayor Garcetti have instituted “safer at home” orders, which require most businesses to close to the public and overall minimize congregating of people, as happens in our tax offices this time of year.
  • In order to ensure the safety of all Pronto Team Members and all Pronto Clients, we are allowing and encouraging team members to work at home.
  • And we are encouraging all clients to use one of the following “non-contact” options for getting your taxes done:
    • Contact your office location or contact your Pronto Team Member by email and we will assist you to:
      • Upload your documents to our secure portal, or
      • Fax us your documents, or
      • Whatever “non-contact” document exchange option is most convenient for you.
    • You can “drop off & go” at any of our office locations.  Meaning you drop off your documents and we will do your taxes and call or email you with any questions.
    • Numerous of our more tech-savvy team members are video conferencing with clients to add a personal touch so that we can still see your beautiful faces even though we’re not meeting in person.
  • If you want to reach a particular office location, here again is our contact info for each office.
  • If you want to reach a particular team member, go here to our team page to find your team member’s email and email directly.
  • We are HERE for you and have been working hard  to be as responsive as we can.
  • The fact that we do have an extension on both filing and payment of 2019 tax returns is a HUGE relief for us and we hope it is for you as well.
  • That being said, we are continuing to process tax returns in all of our office locations.
  • Especially for our clients who have refunds coming, we will continue to work efficiently despite these difficulties and we surely appreciate your teamwork and patience as we all adjust to this new reality.
  • We continue to appreciate your REFERRALS of new clients who may need reliable tax help.
  • Please feel free to share this blog post with a friend who may have some of these same questions.

We appreciate you more than you know.

And we look forward to serving you again sometime soon!

Stay strong, Pronto Client Family!!!

Sincerely Yours,

The Pronto Income Tax Team
